I think it is basically a good book, though I stand by my comments concerning that last chapter. It works against the "build" in tempo and intensity.

Heather, glad to be part of it!Tobias Stanislas Haller BSGhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08047429477181560685noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6786565.post-69596716520742363612011-02-18T14:10:05.023-05:002011-02-18T14:10:05.023-05:00This book is quite controversial so I appreciate s...This book is quite controversial so I appreciate seeing a well-reasoned review that shares both the good and the not-so-good aspects of it. Thanks so much for being on the book tour and for sharing your thoughts!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6786565.post-18780101506335699852011-02-17T11:34:57.517-05:002011-02-17T11:34:57.517-05:00Tobias, I think this is probably a very good revie...Tobias, I think this is probably a very good review. I say "probably" because I haven't read the book yet, though it's on my Wish List (another book or two and I get free shipping!). But I did read, and comment briefly, on John Chilton's post on The Lead last week with links to Dr. Knust's WaPo article. I think her basic thesis is good, but I wish her analysis of specific biblical texts had been better. A lot of "yes, but..."s and even "yeah, maybe, but..."s. Still, a useful contribution to an important dialogue.WSJMhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09712152737422347034noreply@blogger.com
